Podcast Plan Title: Girls Guide to Netflix favorites Log Line: Jackie, Britt, and Nichole, three college student in New Jersey, explore the best Netflix series to watch. Episode 1. Introduction of group and some Netflix series we will be discussing throughout the series and even talks about a few Netflix movies Episode 2. Orange is the new black/Captive Talk about Orange is the New Black and the characters and give a little synopsis as well as with Captive, talk about some of the destinations where people were held captive against their wills. Episode 3. British Baking Show The group talks about their most unconventional favorite shows. The British Baking show is a guilty pleasure show where a contestants battle each other through 8 rounds of baking challenges until a winner is revealed. Episode 4. Thirteen Reasons why The group talks about the main character Hannah and discuss the differences between the book and the series as well as discuss about the new upcoming season 2 and who we believe will be the main person. Episode 5. Ozark The group discusses about what Ozark is about and talk about Marty and Wendy Byrde, the two main characters and the issues their family faces with the problems Marty burdens on his family. Episode 6. Santa Clarita Diet/Parks and Recreation & The Office The Girls gather around to talk about Drew Barrymore who plays Sheila and Timothy Olyphant, who plays her husband Joel. Drew Barrymore, is a woman who turns into a “Zombie” and has a strange craving for human flesh. She gets used to her new lifestyle along with her husband getting used to their new life. Episode 7. Stranger Things The girls talk about Stranger things which has quickly become a popular Netflix series. The show follows a group of adolescent boys who get themselves mixed up in with a government agency, supernatural forces, and a mysterious little girl. Episode 8. GirlBoss The girls talk about GirlBoss. A quirky coming of age series about a girl named Sophia and her challenges running her own online business in the face of adversity. Episode 9. Friends from College/Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt The girls discuss about the show and the drama it has to offer about these two friends from college who have an affair with one another, keeping secrets from their significant others. Unbreakable Kimmy is about this woman who was captured and held hostage in a bunker and once released, she had to get used to being in society again. Episode 10. The Punisher/Daredevil The punisher and daredevil are both Marvel comics which intertwine with one another. First having to watch DareDevil, you understand the different marvel people and then the punisher is based on the punisher himself and how he became the way he did. Pitch: “Why wait another week to watch your favorite series, when you can binge watch a series when you please!” Our series will be able to compete successfully in the marketplace because we are promoting Netflix and what they have to offer. As well as providing out listeners with new series that they may not have heard or maybe about a series they were not so sure about watching. 57 million people are subscribed to Netflix and is available in 50 countries. Around 60% of Netflix users binge watch shows at least every few weeks. Netflix has over 76 categories to choose from. They were the first original online programming services to win a major television award such as a Golden Globe. We will connect with our listeners on a personal basis so they could relate.
